• Once daily in the morning

• On an empty stomach

• With up to 120 mL of plain water

• At least 30 minutes before eating

• At least 30 minutes before other beverages

• At least 30 minutes before other oral medicines

Swallow the tablet whole. Do not crush, chew, split or dissolve it. Do not take more than one tablet per day and do not combine several lower-strength tablets to create the prescribed dose.

Taking the tablet with too much water, food, coffee, juice or another medicine can reduce semaglutide absorption and make the treatment less reliable.

If a dose is missed, skip it and take the next dose the following day at the usual time. Do not take two tablets together or later in the same day.

Different oral semaglutide formulations are available in certain markets. Their strength numbers are not automatically interchangeable. Use only the formulation and dose stated on the prescription.

Common Side Effects: Rybelsus 7 mg can cause nausea, diarrhoea, abdominal discomfort, reduced appetite, vomiting and constipation. Indigestion, bloating, burping, gas and acid reflux can also occur. Digestive effects are often more noticeable after starting treatment or increasing the dose. Serious Side Effects: Obtain prompt medical attention for persistent or severe abdominal pain, especially when it spreads to the back, because this can indicate pancreatitis. Medical help is also required for sudden vision changes, severe vomiting or diarrhoea, reduced urination, symptoms of significant dehydration, severe low blood sugar, yellow skin or eyes, intense upper-abdominal pain or signs of a serious allergic reaction. Facial swelling, throat swelling or breathing difficulty requires emergency care.

Do not start Rybelsus 7 mg without a complete medical assessment if any of the following apply:

• Personal history of medullary thyroid carcinoma

• Family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma

• Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2

• Serious allergy to semaglutide

• Allergy to another tablet ingredient

• Pregnancy or planned pregnancy

• Breastfeeding

• Severe gastroparesis

• Type 1 diabetes

• Diabetic ketoacidosis

• Previous pancreatitis

• Serious diabetic retinopathy

• Children and adolescents

Women planning pregnancy are normally instructed to stop semaglutide at least two months before trying to conceive. Diabetes treatment should be reviewed so blood sugar remains properly managed during this period.

Tell the doctor or pharmacist about every medicine, supplement and herbal product being used. Important interactions include:
