• Swallow it whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, split or chew it.

• It can be taken with or without food. A very heavy meal may delay it slightly.

• Never take more than one tablet in 24 hours. 200 mg is the maximum daily dose of avanafil.

• Do not combine it with Avacare 100 mg or any other ED tablet to get a stronger effect.

• Men who take alpha blockers or moderate CYP3A4 inhibitors usually need a lower dose so this strength may not be right for them.

Moving up from 100 mg? Only switch after talking to your doctor. They will check that 100 mg was well tolerated and that your heart health allows a higher dose.

Common Side Effects: Common side effects include headache, facial warmth or flushing, a stuffy or runny nose, sore throat and back pain. Dizziness can also occur, particularly when standing up quickly or drinking alcohol. Speak to a healthcare professional if these effects persist, worsen or become difficult to manage.

Serious Side Effects: Stop sexual activity and obtain urgent medical help for chest pain, a significant change in heartbeat, severe dizziness or fainting. Immediate treatment is also required for sudden vision loss, a sudden decrease in hearing, ringing in the ears, facial or throat swelling, difficulty breathing, or an erection lasting longer than four hours. Do not take another dose after a serious reaction until medically assessed.

The higher strength is not suitable for every man. Do not use Avacare 200 mg without medical advice if you:

• Take nitrates or use poppers

• Take riociguat

• Have heart disease or have been told to avoid sexual activity

• Had a heart attack or stroke in the past 6 months

• Have low blood pressure or uncontrolled high blood pressure

• Have severe liver or kidney problems

• Have never tried a lower dose of avanafil

• Take an alpha blocker or a medicine that raises avanafil levels

• Are allergic to avanafil

Avanafil can interact with other medicines. At 200 mg these interactions matter even more. Tell your doctor if you take:

• Nitrates such as nitroglycerin or isosorbide

• Riociguat

• Alpha blockers such as tamsulosin or doxazosin

• Blood pressure medicines

• Other ED medicines

• Ketoconazole, ritonavir, clarithromycin or other strong CYP3A4 inhibitors

• Erythromycin, fluconazole or other moderate CYP3A4 inhibitors

Avanafil with food: You can take it with or without meals. A large fatty meal may slow how quickly it starts working.

Avanafil with alcohol: Keep alcohol to a minimum. At a higher dose, the mix of avanafil and alcohol is more likely to cause dizziness, headache, or low blood pressure.

• Store Avacare 200 mg in its original packaging at room temperature.

• Keep it in a cool, dry place away from heat, moisture and direct sunlight.

• Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

• Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the packaging.
