A whole 150 mg tablet is not a standard recommended sildenafil dose for ED. The usual starting dose for many adults is 50 mg as needed, about one hour before sex. A doctor may adjust this to 25–100 mg according to response, health and other medicines.
The usual maximum dosing frequency is once in 24 hours. Certain interactions require a longer interval: with ritonavir, the recommended maximum sildenafil dose is 25 mg in 48 hours.
Do not take a whole Careforce 150 mg tablet or try to divide it into smaller doses without clear instructions from a doctor and confirmation from a pharmacist that the particular tablet is suitable for splitting. A verified product in the prescribed strength is preferable.
For example, if your doctor recommends sildenafil 50 mg, use the prescribed 50 mg product. Do not substitute a 150 mg tablet yourself.
Sildenafil can be taken with or without food, but a high-fat meal may delay its effect. For as-needed ED treatment, there is no missed dose to replace.
If you take more than prescribed: Contact a doctor or local poison advice service promptly, even if you feel well. Seek emergency care for serious symptoms.
