Iverheal 12 mg

When the infection is caused by a parasite that responds to ivermectin, treatment can:

• Reduce the number of susceptible parasites

• Help control infection-related itching and skin symptoms

• Support the clearance of intestinal parasites

• Reduce further damage caused by the infection

• Provide a fixed strength for weight-based treatment

Follow-up tests are required for some infections to confirm that treatment has worked. A repeat dose is appropriate only when it forms part of the prescribed schedule. Current COVID-19 and cancer studies provide useful research information, but they have not confirmed treatment benefits for patients taking Iverheal 12 mg.

Ivermectin targets chloride channels found in the nerve and muscle cells of susceptible parasites. It increases the movement of chloride ions into these cells and disrupts their normal nerve signals.

The parasites become paralysed and eventually die or are removed from the body. Ivermectin works only against organisms that are sensitive to it. It does not treat bacterial infections, fungal infections or every type of intestinal worm.

Laboratory researchers are studying whether ivermectin also affects pathways involved in viral activity, cancer-cell survival and immune responses. Effects observed in laboratory experiments do not automatically produce the same results in people.

Iverheal 12 mg dosage is determined by body weight, the diagnosed infection and the patient’s medical condition. A 12 mg tablet is a fixed strength and should not automatically be treated as a complete dose for every adult.

For strongyloidiasis, prescribing references commonly use a single oral dose of approximately 200 micrograms per kilogram of body weight. For onchocerciasis, a dose of approximately 150 micrograms per kilogram is commonly used. These figures provide medical context and should not be used to calculate a personal dose without professional guidance.

Take the prescribed number of tablets together with water. Many oral ivermectin instructions recommend taking the medicine on an empty stomach. Scabies and other off-label treatment schedules differ and can include a second dose after a defined interval.

Do not repeat the dose because itching or other symptoms continue. There is no established Iverheal 12 mg dosage for COVID-19 or cancer, as the clinical trials are still ongoing. Therefore, research schedules should not be copied for self-treatment.

Common Side Effects: Iverheal 12 mg can cause nausea, diarrhoea, abdominal discomfort, dizziness, headache, weakness, itching or a mild skin rash. Swollen lymph nodes, muscle discomfort or temporary worsening of skin symptoms can occur as the body reacts to dying parasites. Speak with a healthcare professional if these effects persist or become difficult to manage.

Serious Side Effects: Obtain urgent medical help for breathing difficulty, swelling of the face or throat, severe or blistering rash, fainting, seizures, confusion, difficulty walking, extreme drowsiness, major vision changes or yellowing of the skin or eyes. People with a heavy Loa loa infection face a risk of serious neurological reactions after ivermectin treatment.

Do not take Iverheal 12 mg without medical assessment if any of the following applies:

• Allergy to ivermectin

• Body weight below 15 kg

• Pregnancy or breastfeeding

• Significant liver problems

• Possible Loa loa infection

• Current warfarin treatment

• Use of strong sedating medicines

• Cancer treatment or clinical-trial participation

• Planned use for COVID-19 self-treatment

• Planned use for cancer self-treatment

Important interactions requiring review include:

• Warfarin and other anticoagulants

• Sedatives and sleeping medicines

• Certain antifungal medicines

• Macrolide antibiotics

• HIV protease inhibitors

• Chemotherapy and immunotherapy

Warfarin users can require additional blood-clotting checks. Do not combine Iverheal with another antiparasitic medicine or take additional tablets unless instructed.

• Store out of reach of children.

• Do not use damaged or discoloured tablets.

• Check the expiry date before taking the medicine.
