What Is Febentel 888 mg?
Febentel 888 mg is a tablet containing 888 mg of fenbendazole, a broad-spectrum anthelmintic that interferes with the survival of susceptible parasitic worms. Its established use includes controlling certain roundworms, hookworms, whipworms and tapeworms in animals.
Some people also use fenbendazole off-label for cancer after laboratory studies reported effects on cancer-cell division, glucose use and energy production. These early findings have not been confirmed through controlled human cancer trials, and research into its safety, effectiveness and appropriate dosage continues.
Fenbendazole has also appeared in early computer-based COVID-19 research. These studies examined possible interactions with SARS-CoV-2 proteins but did not test Febentel 888 mg as a treatment in people.
