Ivrwell 12 mg

When used for a correctly diagnosed and susceptible parasitic infection, Ivrwell 12 mg can:

• Eliminate intestinal Strongyloides larvae

• Reduce microfilariae in onchocerciasis

• Relieve parasite-related itching and skin symptoms

• Provide an oral treatment option for selected scabies cases

• Help control certain lice infestations

• Reduce complications caused by untreated parasites

The benefit depends on identifying the correct parasite and calculating the dose according to body weight. Ivermectin does not treat every worm, mite or skin infection.

There are currently no confirmed treatment benefits for COVID-19 or cancer. Findings from laboratory studies or registered clinical research should not be treated as proof that the medicine works for these conditions.

Ivermectin attaches to special chloride channels found in the nerve and muscle cells of susceptible parasites. This increases the flow of chloride ions into their cells, causing paralysis and death of the parasite.

These channels are different from those normally found in humans, which helps ivermectin act mainly on the parasite when used at an appropriate dose.

In onchocerciasis, ivermectin primarily acts against the immature microfilariae rather than the adult worms. This is why medical follow-up and repeat treatment can be required.

The laboratory mechanisms being studied in COVID-19 and cancer are different from ivermectin’s established antiparasitic action. They have not been shown to provide a reliable clinical treatment effect.

Ivrwell 12 mg is not a standard one-tablet dose for every adult. The correct dose is calculated according to body weight, the diagnosed parasite and the person’s medical condition.

For intestinal strongyloidiasis, reference prescribing information uses approximately 200 micrograms per kilogram of body weight as a single dose. For onchocerciasis, the reference dose is approximately 150 micrograms per kilogram as a single dose, followed by medical monitoring and retreatment when required.

For label-supported worm treatment, ivermectin tablets are generally swallowed with water on an empty stomach. Scabies and lice schedules can use different timing and food instructions, so follow the directions given for the diagnosed condition.

There is no established Ivrwell 12 mg dosage for COVID-19 or cancer. Do not follow online dosing schedules or combine it with supplements or prescription treatments without medical supervision.

Common Side Effects: Ivrwell 12 mg can cause nausea, diarrhoea, stomach discomfort, reduced appetite, dizziness, sleepiness, tiredness, itching, rash or hives. People treated for onchocerciasis can develop fever, swelling, tender lymph nodes, joint pain or worsening itching as the dying parasites trigger an inflammatory response.

Serious Side Effects: Seek medical help for severe dizziness, fainting, confusion, difficulty walking, seizures, extreme drowsiness, loss of consciousness, breathing difficulty, facial or throat swelling, a blistering skin rash, yellow skin or eyes, dark urine or significant vision changes. People exposed to areas where Loa loa infection occurs require assessment because serious neurological reactions can develop in heavily infected individuals.

Ivrwell 12 mg should be avoided or used only after careful medical assessment by:

• People allergic to ivermectin

• Pregnant women without medical approval

• Breastfeeding women without medical assessment

• Children weighing under 15 kg

• People at risk of Loa loa infection

• People with serious liver disease

• People with significant neurological disorders

• People taking warfarin without monitoring

• Anyone self-treating COVID-19 or cancer

Important interactions requiring review include:

• Warfarin and other anticoagulants

• Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors

Rare increases in INR have been reported when ivermectin was taken with warfarin. Medicines that strongly affect CYP3A4 can also change how ivermectin is processed by the body.
