Ivercare 12 mg

When used for a confirmed and susceptible parasitic infection, Ivercare 12 mg provides the following benefits:

The treatment benefit depends on using the correct weight-based dose for the diagnosed infection. Taking ivermectin without identifying the parasite can delay the right treatment.

No confirmed clinical benefit has been established for COVID-19 or cancer. Research findings in these areas are still ongoing and should not be confused with ivermectin’s recognised antiparasitic benefits.

Ivermectin attaches to glutamate-gated chloride channels found in the nerve and muscle cells of susceptible parasites. This increases the movement of chloride ions into their cells.

The increased chloride flow disrupts normal nerve and muscle activity. The parasite becomes paralysed and eventually dies or loses its ability to remain inside the body.

These channels are not normally found in the same form in humans. This allows ivermectin to target susceptible parasites when it is taken at an appropriate dose.

In onchocerciasis, ivermectin acts mainly on the immature microfilariae. It does not reliably kill the adult worms, which can continue producing new microfilariae. This explains why follow-up and repeat treatment are sometimes required.

The mechanisms examined in COVID-19 and cancer research are different from ivermectin’s established antiparasitic action. Laboratory activity in these areas has not confirmed a standard clinical treatment benefit.

There is no single Ivercare 12 mg dosage suitable for every parasitic infection. The correct amount depends on body weight, the diagnosed parasite, medical history and the required treatment schedule.

For intestinal strongyloidiasis, reference dosing uses approximately 200 micrograms of ivermectin per kilogram of body weight as a single dose. For onchocerciasis, reference dosing uses approximately 150 micrograms per kilogram as a single dose, followed by monitoring and retreatment when required.

For context, a 12 mg dose equals 200 micrograms per kilogram for a person weighing 60 kg. The same 12 mg equals 150 micrograms per kilogram for a person weighing 80 kg. These are calculation examples and do not mean one tablet is suitable for every adult.

Scabies and lice treatment use different schedules. Repeat treatment is often needed because ivermectin does not reliably kill parasite eggs. The interval between doses must be selected according to the diagnosed infestation and the person’s medical condition.

For standard worm treatment, ivermectin is generally swallowed with water on an empty stomach. Food instructions can differ for certain scabies protocols, so follow the directions provided for the condition being treated.

There is no established Ivercare 12 mg dosage for COVID-19 or cancer. Do not select a dose from online treatment schedules, testimonials or another person’s experience.

Common Side Effects: Ivercare 12 mg can cause nausea, diarrhoea, stomach discomfort, reduced appetite, dizziness, headache, tiredness, sleepiness, itching, rash or hives. When ivermectin is used for onchocerciasis, the immune response to dying parasites can also cause fever, swelling, tender lymph nodes, joint pain and temporary worsening of itching.

Serious Side Effects: Obtain medical help for severe dizziness, fainting, confusion, difficulty walking, seizures, extreme drowsiness, loss of consciousness, breathing difficulty, swelling of the face or throat, a severe blistering rash, yellow skin or eyes, dark urine or major vision changes. People with heavy Loa loa infection have an increased risk of serious neurological reactions and require specialist assessment.

Ivercare 12 mg should be avoided or used only after medical assessment by:

• People allergic to ivermectin

• Pregnant women without medical approval

• Breastfeeding women without medical assessment

• Children weighing under 15 kg

• People at risk of Loa loa infection

• People with serious liver disease

• People with neurological disorders

• People previously affected by ivermectin neurotoxicity

• People taking warfarin without monitoring

• Anyone self-treating COVID-19 or cancer

Rare increases in INR have been reported when ivermectin is combined with warfarin. Medicines that strongly change CYP3A4 activity can also affect how ivermectin is processed by the body.
