What Is Asthalin 4 mg?
Asthalin 4 mg contains salbutamol. Salbutamol is also known as albuterol. Each tablet contains 4 mg of salbutamol. It is a different strength from Asthalin 2 mg and a different formulation from an inhaler. Current asthma guidance does not recommend oral salbutamol because of its adverse effect risk. Ask your prescriber to review its place in your treatment plan. Do not use tablets instead of your prescribed rescue inhaler during an asthma attack.
Asthalin tablets are associated with Cipla. The Asthalin brand also includes inhaled formulations. Tablets are swallowed. Inhalers deliver medicine into the lungs. Respules contain nebuliser solution. These formulations have separate doses and administration instructions. Do not compare tablet milligrams with inhaler micrograms to calculate a replacement dose.
