Improvement develops gradually. Sexual interest and energy can change within several weeks while changes in muscle strength and body composition usually take longer.

Testosign Gel is applied to the skin. Testosterone passes through the skin and enters the bloodstream gradually throughout the day.

The absorbed hormone replaces part of the testosterone that the body cannot produce naturally. Regular application helps maintain testosterone levels and supports functions controlled by the hormone including sexual health, muscle maintenance, bone strength, mood and energy.

Blood tests are required during treatment because the amount absorbed differs between individuals. The dose is adjusted according to testosterone results and the response to treatment.

Each Testosign sachet contains 5 g of gel with 50 mg of testosterone. The prescribed amount is normally applied once daily at approximately the same time. The dose must be adjusted using blood-test results and should not be changed without medical guidance.

Apply the gel using these steps:

• Apply it to clean, dry and unbroken skin.

• Use the shoulders, upper arms or abdomen as directed.

• Spread the prescribed amount in a thin layer.

• Do not apply it to the penis, scrotum or damaged skin.

• Allow the gel to dry before getting dressed.

• Wash your hands immediately with soap and water.

• Cover the dry application area with clothing.

• Avoid showering or swimming for at least five hours.

• Avoid smoking, flames and direct heat until the gel is dry.

Testosterone gel can transfer to another person through skin contact. Wash the application area before close skin-to-skin contact. If another person touches untreated skin containing the gel, they should wash the area immediately with soap and water.

Do not apply extra gel to replace a missed application. Follow the missed-dose instructions provided with the supplied pack.

Common Side Effects: Testosign Gel can cause redness, itching or irritation where it is applied. Other effects include acne, oily skin, headache, mood changes, altered sex drive, hair loss, breast tenderness, fluid retention and increased red blood cell levels. Testosterone can also raise blood pressure or prostate-specific antigen levels. Regular blood tests and health reviews help detect these changes early.

Serious Side Effects: Stop using the gel and obtain urgent medical help for chest pain, sudden breathing difficulty, coughing up blood, severe headache, weakness on one side of the body or pain and swelling in one leg. Medical attention is also required for difficulty passing urine, a prolonged painful erection, severe swelling, worsening sleep apnoea or signs of a serious allergic reaction.

Testosign Gel is not suitable for everyone. It should be avoided by:

• People allergic to testosterone

• Men with prostate cancer

• Men with male breast cancer

• Women

• Pregnant women

• Breastfeeding women

• Children and adolescents

• People without confirmed testosterone deficiency

• People using testosterone for bodybuilding

• People sharing another person’s treatment

Specialist assessment is required for men with an enlarged prostate, high red blood cell levels, uncontrolled blood pressure, severe heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, sleep apnoea or a history of blood clots.

Tell the healthcare professional about all medicines, hormones and supplements being used.

Important interactions include:

• Warfarin and other blood thinners

• Insulin

• Diabetes medicines

• Corticosteroids

• ACTH medicines

• Other testosterone products

• Anabolic steroids

Testosterone can change blood sugar control and increase the effect of certain blood thinners. Combining it with corticosteroids or ACTH can increase fluid retention. Do not use another testosterone or muscle-building product alongside Testosign without medical instructions.

• Store the sachets at room temperature.

• Keep them in their original packaging.

• Protect them from moisture and direct sunlight.

• Keep them away from flames and heat.

• Do not smoke while applying the gel.

• Keep them away from children and pets.

• Do not use damaged or leaking sachets.

• Do not use the gel after its expiry date.

• Dispose of empty sachets where children and pets cannot reach them.

Testosterone gel contains alcohol and remains flammable until dry.
